6 TIPS To Get Ready For The Beach - flatter stomach and beauty tips

Hi everyone! We're sorry we didn't have the time to write many articles this week but we're here to remedy :) This has been our first week of holidays and we have had a very relaxing time. We also had our very first day at the beach and we had so much funwe love the feeling of the sun tanning our skin, walking to the water's edge, the sand under the feet, and relaxing to the sound of waves breaking!

 

Today we want to give you a few tips to prepare yourself for a day at the beach and to feel more confident and comfortable wearing a swimsuit. 

But before we start, we'd like to remember you a very important rule you don't want to forget.

 FIRST RULE: remember that you're going to the beach to have fun and enjoy some time with your friends or family. So try not to worry much about your appearance: of course you want to look good but remember people don't care about how you look as much as you think they do! This summer try to feel good in your own skin for what you are (on the inside and out) - no matter if you think you should lose some pounds or you don't like how your hair look after a sea bath: put a smile on and FORGET IT. Smiling raises your confidence (and we are all different and beautiful in our own way - flaws and all).

 

That said, enjoy the following tips :)

1. AVOID FOOD THAT CAN CAUSE BLOATING

The night before your day at the beach, you might want to avoid these foods for dinner: legumes, dairy, salty foods, too much carbs and alcohol are the worst enemies of a flat stomach. Eating high-sodium foods, in particular, can trigger water retention and we really don't want this to happen.

2. DRINK A LOT OF WATER

 If you have eaten a lot of salt with your meal, however, drinking a lot of water can help flush it out.

3. HERBAL TEAS FOR A FLATTER STOMACH

 In the morning, before going to the beach, we usually have a cup of one of the following herbal teas to make sure to have a flatter stomach during the day: Green Tea, Fennel Tea, Lemon and Peppermint Teas are a great help with gas and bloating :)

4. WEAR A SWIMSUIT YOU FEEL GOOD IN

 As we've said, confidence is the best outfit. And wearing a swimsuit you don't feel totally good in is really not the best choice. This has nothing to do with "find the perfect swimsuit for your body shape": we believe that you should totally wear what you prefer, if that makes you feel confident and hella gorgeous! But make sure to choose a swimsuit you don't feel uncomfortable in: you want to be free to walk, swim and run without having to regret you didn't choose something more comfortable!

5. PREPARE YOUR BEACH BAG WITH BEAUTY ESSENTIALS

Planning for a day at the beach can be very stressful. You need to pack your beach bag with hundreds of things you don't want to forget: sunscreen, beach towels, sunglasses and so on. But we suggest you to bring with you also some beauty essentials for your face, hair and body. Being makeup free all day is very healthy for your skin but can make you feel very self-conscious too, if you are not used to it. And having with you some products to fix your appearance now and then, will make you feel more relaxed. We will write a new article with our favorite beach beauty essentials very soon :)

6. BRING A SMILE WITH YOU

As we've daid, feeling confidence is the most attractive attribute you can have. Try to remember this when you'll look in the mirror ready to leave for the beach. You really can't wait to experience the hidden power of a smile on your face :)
