Hi everyone! A month ago we've started the 30 days Stretching challenge to increase our flexibility.
We have tried different kinds of exercises, trying to figure out which work better for us and we are happy to say that we will show you our personal stretching routine very soon!
In the meanwhile.. we want to talk about the importance of proper breathing while you stretch.
In fact your breathing does have a huge impact on the efficacy of your flexibility routine.
There are many breathing mistakes people do while they stretch like holding their breath, breathing quickly or too deeply, inhale and exhale at the incorrect time that can really affect your exercise and even cause significant problems..
Hi everyone! We're sorry we didn't have the time to write many articles this week but we're here to remedy :) This has been our first week of holidays and we have had a very relaxing time. We also had our very first day at the beach and we had so much fun: we love the feeling of the sun tanning our skin, walking to the water's edge, the sand under the feet, and relaxing to the sound of waves breaking!
Today we want to give you a few tips to prepare yourself for a day at the beach and to feel more confident and comfortable wearing a swimsuit.
But before we start, we'd like to remember you a very important rule you don't want to forget.
FIRST RULE: remember that you're going to the beach to have fun and enjoy some time with your friends or family. So try not to worry much about your appearance: of course you want to look good but remember people don't care about how you look as much as you think they do! This summer try to feel good in your own skin for what you are (on the inside and out) - no matter if you think you should lose some pounds or you don't like how your hair look after a sea bath: put a smile on and FORGET IT. Smiling raises your confidence (and we are all different and beautiful in our own way - flaws and all).

If you are following us on our journey, you already know that we really care about healthy lifestyle, and that hydration is one of the main topic we've been writing about for the last few weeks (read about the WATER CHALLENGE we've started). In fact paying attention to the amount of liquids we consume daily, especially in summer, is very important. But can be very hard too, especially if you find water tasteless and "boring". In this case, you might want to drink beverages with some flavor, and infused water is the healthiest alternative you could find. Fruit and herb flavored water is not only delicious but also healthy and good for detoxification and energy.

Last week we've introduced you to the new subsection of the Twin life category: "Challenge", where we write about all the new challenges we decide to try out. Last Tuesday we've started our 30 days stretching challenge, and we are seriously feeling so good. It's amazing how good it makes you feel when you start working on yourself! We're so happy!
So, today we want to start a new challenge and we hope you'll join us on this journey! This time, the topic is water and what we can do to drink enough during the day.
Drinking enough water every day is very important. We all know that the benefits of water are many (here is an interesting article we recommend you to read about it) and that is fundamental for our body to stay hydrated.
But sometimes we have so many other things to think about and to do, that we remember to drink only when we are particularly thirsty. So starting a "WATER CHALLENGE" is what we need to start finally paying attention to the amount of liquids we consume daily, especially now that the weather is warming up. Let's start this together!

Today we want to introduce you to a new section of the blog, a subsection of the "Twin life" category: "CHALLENGE", where we're going to write about the many challenges we want to try and give you the details about them all.
Today it's day one of a "30 days" challenge we really can't wait to try. We've always given priority to our workouts, mostly avoided any form of stretching. But we've finally decided it's time for a change! We really want to start paying attention to our flexibility, and in the next 30 days we're going to test ourselves and see how much we can develop and increase our range of motion.
We can't tell you now which exercises will be part of our stretch routine, because there's not a specific program we follow. But we'll try different kinds of exercises and see which work better for us, then you'll have all the details in a new article next month.
Hi guys, it's Monday, again. But we're not going to complain: we're too excited because we have a new article to share with you all! Last week, we introduced you to the training program we've been following for two years now: the Bikini Body Guide by Kayla Itsines. What we like the most about this guide is that it gives us the opportunity to workout at home. Sometimes maybe you just don't have the time to go to the gym, or you are too tired to, so this could be a perfect alternative for you.
We usually workout in our bedroom, so we really don't have any excuse to skip a workout!

EXERCISE MAT
It makes floor exercises more comfortable and it provides the cushion necessary for your jumping workout.
DRINK BOTTLE
You really don't want to finish your 7-minutes circuit and find out you don't have anything to rehydrate with!
SWEAT TOWEL
A must have during your workout, to dry yourself from sweat. Ew!

About Kayla Itsines
Kayla Itsines (05/21/1991) is a personal trainer from Adelaide, Australia. Her journey began in 2008, when she started a personal traning course at the Australian Institute of Fitness. She soon realised, the methods she was instructed to use often fell short or did not provide the results the client was aspiring to achieve.
She decided to start her own company (co-created with his boyfriend, Tobias Pearce) aimed at helping women achieve a bikini body in the most efficient and effective way possible.
Kayla says that "a bikini body is not a certain body weight, size or look, but rather a state of mind where you are confident and feeling good about YOU", and this is exactly our what Fitness means to us.
Hello everyone! In this post we want to explain what "Fitness" means to us, and why starting training regularly and making healthy lifestyle changes it's been such a huge change for us, definitely for the better.
We've always been skinny, we've always practiced sports since we were little kids, but growing up we kinda lost the motivation. We started going to the gym but without a good workout plan. The truth is we didn't expect to see results, at all. We didn't need a big change on our body, we were skinny and for this reason we never put much effort in it.
But growing up we started feeling a little uncomfortable about our body. It's not easy to live in a society that daily reminds you that your flaws are something you have to feel ashamed of, and that seems to know exactly what your body should look like.
But one day we decided we needed to do something. We needed to stop complaining about our body, because we didn't deserve to feel that way. We quitted smoking and started looking for a good workout program online.
And everything changed.
