Hi guys, it's Monday, again. But we're not going to complain: we're too excited because we have a new article to share with you all! Last week, we introduced you to the training program we've been following for two years now: the Bikini Body Guide by Kayla Itsines. What we like the most about this guide is that it gives us the opportunity to workout at home. Sometimes maybe you just don't have the time to go to the gym, or you are too tired to, so this could be a perfect alternative for you.
We usually workout in our bedroom, so we really don't have any excuse to skip a workout!
But there are a few things you may need to go get before you start. Here is the list of the required equipment we've found on Kayla's official site!
EXERCISE MAT
It makes floor exercises more comfortable and it provides the cushion necessary for your jumping workout.
DRINK BOTTLE
You really don't want to finish your 7-minutes circuit and find out you don't have anything to rehydrate with!
SWEAT TOWEL
A must have during your workout, to dry yourself from sweat. Ew!
EXERCISE EQUIPMENT
SKIPPING ROPE
BOSU
DUMBBELLS
(3-6 kg each)
MEDICINE BALL
(6-12 kg)
1-2 FLAT BENCHES
(30cm+)
All these things are very easy to find in any fitness store. Some of them are optional, we believe so because we have worked out for a long time without the skipping rope, the flat benches, and the bosu. They surely are a big help for some exercises, but when we didn't have what we needed we just used something else we had at home that could work in their place.
So, you can start even if you don't have everything in the list, and go get them at a later time.
In addition to this, you'll surely need some comfy workout clothes. You don't need anything special: a pair of sweatpants, or gym shorts, trainers and a sport bra will be perfect! Stay tuned for a new article tomorrow,
